99MegaPixels came out of São Paulo in the early 2000s. Their debut album 'O Tempo Não Para' arrived in 2004. The band's lineup has included vocalist Digão, guitarist Paulista, bassist Júlio, and drummer Rômulo.
They put out several albums over the next decade, like 'O Segundo Ato' in 2007 and 'Tudo Que eu Sou' in 2009. A live album followed in 2017. Their acoustic version of 'Nada Restou' is one of their better-known tracks.
In 2010, Digão's struggles with depression led to some canceled shows. The band has also drawn criticism at times, including for the song 'Eu Sou Assim' and for some of Digão's political statements.
