Their debut album 'The Beginning' came out in 2003 and included the song 'My Diary,' which became their most recognizable track.
In 2006, Jason DeMarco died by suicide. The band continued making music without a lead vocalist, releasing albums like 'Time for Healing' in 2009 and 'Unfinished Business' in 2013. Their lyrics often dealt with themes of loss and grief after that point.
Their music drew criticism from some groups who felt it promoted negativity, but they maintained it was meant to reflect real emotional experiences. They never replaced DeMarco as vocalist, and their later work stayed focused on the personal territory their earlier material had touched.
