A São Paulo quartet that mixed Brazilian rhythms with pop arrangements, starting in 2003.
For a sense of their sound, check out "Anjo Rebelde" or "Trago Você Em Meu Coração." They're straightforward, melodic tracks that show what the group was doing.
They came up playing clubs and festivals around São Paulo, and their debut album in 2005 had songs like "A Chave é o Show." Their catalog includes tracks like "Anjo Rebelde" and "Forças do Bem," and their blend of Brazilian rhythms with pop arrangements sparked some debate about tradition. They kept touring and performing live, reaching audiences in Brazil and elsewhere.
The group formed in São Paulo in 2003 with vocalist Marcia Fernandes, guitarist Marcelo Vasconcelos, bassist Bruno Carvalho, and drummer Yuri Regis. They released their debut album in 2005, followed by "Samba Pop" in 2007 and "Tudo Bem" in 2010. The lineup saw changes, but those four were involved from the start.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
