A Man Called Hero is a band that formed with members Atul "Pintu" Thapa on vocals, Hari Thapa on guitars, Siddhartha Thapa on bass, Nirjan Thapa on drums, and Digbijay Basnet on keyboards. They released their first album Zindagi in 1997, followed by Aunty in 2001, and have continued putting out records since then.
Their song "Tin Saat Gu Sing" came out in 2009 and became particularly well-known among Nepali-speaking listeners. The title translates to "three hours past," and the track's melody and lyrics connected with people across different age groups.
In 2015, the band faced a plagiarism lawsuit over their song "Kaun Ho Tum." They've kept making music through various phases, releasing Jaaneman in 2020, and their work has drawn attention within Nepali rock circles.
