Their lyrics sometimes challenged political and social norms, which led to some friction with authorities. They also faced criticism from those who felt they were commercializing traditional Catalan music. Through it all, they kept making albums that touched on identity and social justice, with songs like 'Bloqueo' and 'Cláusula' appearing in their catalog.
They released several more albums through the 2000s, including 'Tierra' in 2000 and 'Agita' in 2002. A compilation called 'A Palo Seco 15 Años' marked their anniversary in 2004. The band's lineup included Joan Manuel Serrat and Josep Marín on vocals and guitar, Carles Benavent on bass, Jordi Bonell on drums, and Manuel Catalán on percussion.
