A Place Called Here formed in London in 2009 around Jake Hesketh on vocals and guitar, Ed Conway on bass, and Tom Booth on drums. Their debut single 'Rise Above The Streetlights' came out in 2012 and got them some attention. They put out their first album, 'The Hopeful Horizon,' in 2014.

In 2016, Booth left the band and was replaced by Nick Poyser. Their second album, 'Painted in Color,' arrived in 2017 and had a different, more electronic feel than the first one. They released a third album called 'Heart to Mend' in 2020.
