They later added Alain Dugas, Julien Martre, and Olivier Côté, making a five-piece that didn't fit neatly into one genre. The band's 2014 album Déluge is the thing most people know them for, a track that mixes symphonic layers with metal and electronic touches.
Schmidt's vocals on Déluge are often described as haunting, and the lyrics lean into themes of desolation and human frailty. Some listeners found the sound too unconventional or hard to pin down, but the band kept working on it anyway.
