A R I Z O N A formed in Tempe, Arizona in 2015, with Nathan Willett on vocals, David Labuguen on guitar, and Zach Hannah on drums. Their sound pulls from artists like Bon Iver and Coldplay, but they've settled into their own space with atmospheric indie-pop. Songs like 'Oceans Away' and 'Cross My Mind' have that spacious, melodic quality that caught on pretty quickly.

They put out their first album 'Gallery' in 2017, followed by 'Asylum' in 2019 and 'Where We End' in 2021. The records move from the more straightforward harmonies of the debut toward something a bit more experimental and introspective. You can hear it in tracks like 'Freaking Out' and 'Electric Touch', still melodic, but with more room to breathe.

In 2018, the band faced allegations of sexual misconduct from a former fan. They denied the accusations, but it became part of their story for a while. They kept making music through it, though the tone of their work seemed to shift a bit afterward.

They've built a following with those layered harmonies and Willett's vocals, which can sound both intimate and distant. It's music that works in headphones as much as it does in a live set, and they've managed to stay active without chasing too many trends.
