A Shroud Cast Over formed in 2004 around vocalist and guitarist James Seale and bassist Adam Richards. They released their first album, 'Monument to Ruin,' the following year. Their 2010 album 'A Life Once Cherished' shares its name with one of their most recognized songs.
In 2010, the band went on hiatus after sexual misconduct allegations surfaced against Seale. The allegations were later determined to be unfounded, and the band resumed activity. Their music often deals with themes of loss and despair, as heard in tracks like 'From One Fallen Soul To Another' and 'Seeds Of Hate.'
The current lineup includes Seale, Richards, drummer Ben Miller, and lead guitarist Andrew Kim. Their most recent album, 'Echoes from the Void,' came out in 2015.
