A.A. Williams began writing songs in her bedroom before forming a band with bassist Patrick Hannan and drummer George Bass. Their first EP, 'I Heard It in a Dream,' came out in 2018, followed by the album 'Forever Blue' in 2020.
Her music draws from folk and dream pop, with lyrics that feel personal and direct. Songs like 'Control' and 'Cold' show how she handles emotional material without turning it into something overly dramatic.
She works out of London, but the music doesn't sound like it's trying to fit a particular scene. It's quieter and more contained than that, with space for the vocals to sit up front.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
