A.B.C-Z is a Japanese boy band formed under Johnny & Associates. They started in 2008 as a six-member unit originally called A.B.C, with Shota Matsushita, Kohei Fujigaya, Reo Nakajima, Tomoya Ninomiya, Takumi Shindo, and Ryosuke Hashimoto. The group struggled to gain attention early on while other Johnny's Jr. groups were more popular.
In 2012, Hashimoto left and the remaining five members rebranded as A.B.C-Z. That same year they released their debut single "Za ABC ~5 Elements~." Their 2014 single "Finally Over" became a notable track for them.
The group has released several albums including "A.B.C-Z" in 2013, "Vanishing OVER" in 2015, "Black Five" in 2016, and "Fantastic Time" in 2017. They continued putting out music with "VS" in 2018, "JOY" in 2019, and "Merry Go Round" in 2020.
