Abôrigens formed in São Paulo in 1997 as a Brazilian alternative rock band. Their debut album 'Disfuncional' came out in 1999, with the title track becoming a hit that connected with listeners. The band's lineup included Nando Reis on lead vocals and guitar, Paulo Miklos on bass, and Sérgio Britto on drums.
They followed up with albums like 'Língua' in 2002, 'Você' in 2005, and 'Essa Noite' in 2010. Their songs 'Reviravolta' and 'Maracatú de Chão' also appeared in their catalog.
Abôrigens kept recording through the 2010s, putting out 'Aonde Quer Que Eu Vá' in 2017. Their live shows were known for their intensity and direct connection with audiences.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
