Oh sweet delirium

So drenched in burning lithium

This sickness seems to never ease

In the waking state we drift within

And we just fall

Deeper

Into

The twisting sands of thought

We are deceived

By the mirage our minds create

Fowl is the taste

Of thought upon the thinkers tongue

What’s the reprieve? A stillness I can’t find?

O full of scorpions is my mind

If I just close my eyes

Let Hypnos hold my mind

Will sleep erode the blue inside?

Deeper into the well of dreams I

Sink

Desert of dreaming

Show me that which I seek

An oasis where I’m simply free

With flying thoughts?
