Abraão Carvalho is a Brazilian band that formed in São Paulo in the late 1990s. They released their debut album 'Enquanto o Esperamos' in 2003, which included the title track that became one of their better-known songs. The group's music draws from Brazilian folk, gospel, and rock.
The band continued releasing albums like 'Nação Santa dos Pobres' in 2007 and 'Sobre os Ombros dos Profetas' in 2019.
Abraão Carvalho serves as the vocalist and guitarist, with Rogério Botelho on bass, Filipe Pinto on drums, Arlete Cunha providing backing vocals, and Marcelo Loureiro on keyboards. Another of their songs, 'Perene Amor,' appears among their most recognized work.
