Abske Fides

Abske Fides formed in Belo Horizonte in 2006, with Pedro Lucas on vocals and guitar, Julio Andrade on bass, and Rodrigo Figueiredo on drums. They've had some lineup changes since then, with Marcelo Simoes now playing drums. Their first album came out in 2010, called 'Na Planície Vermelha,' which gave them their early signature track of the same name.

That debut record mixed rock with folk and experimental touches, setting a tone for what followed. Songs like '4.48' and 'Árido Homem' show their tendency toward introspective lyrics, sometimes touching on social themes that have drawn both attention and debate. They've kept putting out albums, including 'Os Dias de Ódio' in 2013 and 'Terra Vermelha' after that.

While they've built a following in Brazil's independent scene, their music hasn't followed a straight commercial path. Tracks such as 'Creep Of The Last Human' and 'Eclosion Hidden in Apathy' reflect a band more interested in mood and texture than radio formulas. They still play shows around Belo Horizonte and work on new material when they can.
