They had a rotating crew of horn players like KBong on trombone and Aaron "Ill-E-Gant" Keith on saxophone.
Their songs often dealt with social issues, and they put out seven albums starting with "Abstract Rude and the Big Rude" in 2000. Tracks like "All Day" and "Something About This Music" show their style. They kept recording through the 2010s with albums like "System Override" in 2017.
In 2010, the band faced legal trouble after a performance where they were accused of inciting a riot, though the charges were later dropped. They kept playing and putting out music that blended those different sounds without worrying too much about fitting into one category.
