Abusiveness formed in Warsaw in 2003 with vocalist Zbigniew 'Zbyszek' Robak, guitarist Grzegorz 'Gryzza' Grygiel, bassist Marcin 'Maro' Matuszczyk, and drummer Paweł 'Pająk' Pająk. They spent their early years playing small clubs and local festivals while dealing with lineup changes and financial struggles common to many underground metal bands.
Their 2009 debut album 'Źródło Mej Mocy' gave them their first real break. The title track became something of an anthem for the band, and the album's raw intensity connected with Polish metal fans in a way their earlier work hadn't. They followed it with albums like 'Przebudzenie' in 2012, 'Bezlitosny' in 2016, and 'Zapomniany' in 2020.
Pająk left the band in 2013 and was replaced by drummer Michał 'Misiek' Michalski, but Robak, Grygiel, and Matuszczyk have remained the core of Abusiveness through most of their run. They've played shows with international acts like Megadeth and Slayer, and songs like '16 Vs 955' and 'Fire And Blood' have become staples of their live sets.
