Acasos Irrisórios is a Brazilian band from São Paulo that started in 2012 with Danilo Cutrim on vocals and guitar, Gabriel Furtado on bass, and Felipe Rodovalho on drums. Their first single came out in 2014, a track called "3:45 AM" that got some attention for its dreamy quality.
They work in a space between indie, dream pop, and shoegaze, with songs like "Ruínas No 3x4" and "Os Urubus E As Nuvens" showing their preference for atmospheric arrangements. The music tends to be more about mood than momentum, built around Cutrim's vocals and layered guitars.
Early on, some listeners found their sound too light or too familiar, but they kept at it, building a following drawn to the quiet intensity in their recordings. They've put out a few records since, sticking close to the textures they established on those first tracks.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
