A German band that's kept its riffs loud and its lineup shifting since the late '70s.
For their sound, 'Hard Attack' gets it right. If you want the classic lineup, 'I'm A Rebel' from the early days holds up.
They've been plugging away with a no-frills, heavy sound since 1976, anchored by Udo Dirkschneider's rasp and Wolf Hoffmann's guitar. Songs like 'Hard Attack' and 'The Undertaker' show their straightforward, riff-driven approach hasn't wavered much. They've put out records like 'Blood of the Nations' and 'The Rise of Chaos' without making a big fuss about it.
Formed in Germany in 1976 with Dirkschneider and Hoffmann. Dirkschneider left in 1987, came back in 1993, and they've kept releasing albums like 'Predator' and 'Stalingrad' since. The current lineup mixes those original members with newer ones.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
