Achikoria

Achikoria started as a trio of friends in Seville in the late 1990s, originally calling themselves Las Mangas Verdes. Arturo Pareja-Obregón sang and played guitar, Paco Fonta handled bass, and Pablo Silva was on drums. Their first album came out in 1999, titled "Nueve canciones buenas y una mala." The song "Amame" from that record got popular on Spanish radio.

They kept making albums through the early 2000s, putting out "Mentiras" in 2001 and "El fantasma de la verdad" two years later. Pablo Silva left in 2007, and Álvaro Díez took over on drums. Other songs people remember include "Correcaminos" and "El Mago De Los Sueños."

Their music pulled from different places around where they were from, mixing things you might hear in Andalusia with straightforward pop and rock. They worked with a few other Spanish artists like Bebe and José Mercé along the way.
