Acid Reign formed in Newcastle, England in 1985, with Howard Smith on vocals, Paul Quinn on guitar, and Mark Young on drums. They started playing local pubs and clubs, building a following with a raw, aggressive sound. Their first album 'Moshkinstein' came out in 1988, followed by 'Hangman' and 'The Fear'.
Their songs like 'All I See' and 'Blind Agression' featured heavy riffs and Smith's guttural vocals. The band worked with producer Colin Richardson on some of their albums. They broke up in 1993 after nearly a decade of playing.
