Aclive formed in São Paulo in 2012 around Marcelo Loureiro on vocals, Felipe Novaes on guitar, and Bruno Pellegrini on drums. They started with an EP called 'O Começo' that same year.
Their 2015 single 'A Noite' became their breakout track, gaining attention in Brazil. They followed it with the album 'Sobre o Tempo' in 2016 and another album, 'O Último Dia', in 2019.
Their songs like 'Caos', 'Dias de Luta', and 'Esperança' often work with atmospheric electronics and organic instrumentation. In 2018 they dealt with a legal dispute over music ownership that paused their work for a while, but they returned with the single 'Aurora' in 2021.
