Aco began as a solo artist in 1996, then formed a band in 2002 with guitarist Takayuki Hattori, bassist Masaki Aoyagi, and drummer Kazuhiko Matsuo. Their debut album that year was called 'Ame no Hi no Tame ni,' which included the title track and songs like 'Anata ni Sagasu Uta.'
In 2009, Aco took an extended break from music due to a medical condition. When she returned, the band continued working together. They've released albums including 'Blue' in 2004, 'Omokage' in 2006, and 'Rasen' in 2020.
Their music has appeared in Japanese films and television shows. Some of their other songs include 'Heart Wo Moyashite,' 'Hoshi No Kuzu,' and a Spanish-language track called 'Mapa Hacia La Paz.'
