Act Fast was a New York punk band that released music in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Their debut album was called MP3, which came out in 1999. The band's lineup included Jay Bentley on vocals, Mike Watt on bass, and Dave Grohl on drums.
They put out a few more albums after that, including Speed Dial in 2001 and Bright Lights, Big City in 2003. Their last album was The Exit in 2005. Some of their songs like 'All That She Wants' and 'Beautiful Life' show the kind of melodic punk they were doing.
There was some criticism of their sound at the time, but they kept playing the way they wanted to. The band didn't stay together very long, but they had a straightforward punk approach that worked for what it was.
