Adam West formed his band in Los Angeles in 1985 with guitarist Gary Spain, bassist Jim Abell, and drummer Steve Lynn. Their self-titled debut came out two years later, and they put out songs like ".357" and "Beauty." The band's sound had some punk energy and rock melody, but it was mostly just their own thing.
The song hinted at violence and suicide, which made some listeners uncomfortable. West had personal struggles with substance abuse and mental health that became more visible around this time, and the band canceled a tour in 1991 because of his behavior.
They kept recording through the 1990s with albums like "Black Cadillac" in 1993 and "Sinner" in 1997. West died in 2003 at age 43. His music, including tracks like "Blueblood" and "Bounty Hunter," still has a raw, haunting quality that listeners remember.
