Adamastor Pitaco formed in São Paulo in the early 2000s with João Pimentel on vocals, Alexandre Guedes on guitar, Canisso on bass, and Marcelo D2 on drums. Their debut album 'Sem Limites' came out in 2006 and included 'Esqueci A Letra,' a song that caught on quickly in Brazil with its simple, memorable melody.
After Pimentel left the band around 2008, Guedes took over as frontman. They kept recording, putting out albums like 'Do Outro Lado' in 2009 and 'Deixa Entrar' in 2012. Other songs in their catalog include 'Baitola' and 'Passagem Do Som.'
