Adanowsky

Adanowsky is the project of singer-songwriter Adam Benjamin, who started writing songs in San Francisco in the early 2000s. His music draws from folk influences like Leonard Cohen and Nick Drake, with a self-taught guitar style that gives it a loose, personal feel. The debut album 'Today My Heart is Full of You' came out in 2006.

That album included 'You Are The One,' which featured Devendra Banhart. Other songs like 'Basta Del Oscuro' and 'Niña Roja' show the project's range across English and Spanish lyrics. The music tends toward introspective narratives with a dreamy quality, avoiding strict genre boundaries.

In 2010, Benjamin faced domestic violence allegations that affected the band's reputation. He later addressed the incident publicly. The project has continued releasing music since then, including songs like 'J'aime Tes Genoux' and 'Amor Sin Fin.'
