Adapta formed in São Paulo in 2006 as a trio with vocalist and guitarist Rodrigo Koala, bassist Rapha Castro, and drummer Cadu Parise. Their self-titled debut album came out in 2009, and the track 'Consequências' from it connected with listeners right away.
Their music mixed rock, grunge, and alternative elements, and they wrote plainly about pain and heartbreak. This directness drew some criticism but also a loyal audience who found their lyrics relatable. Songs like 'Sacrifício' and 'Voltar a Ser' carried that same unvarnished tone.
Later albums included 'Brasil, o Brasil' in 2012, '10 Anos' in 2016, and 'Ponto Cego' in 2019. They worked with other Brazilian artists like Criolo, Emicida, and Nando Reis along the way.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
