Ademar Braga

Ademar Braga came up in Goiás, a region known for its sertanejo music. He started writing and playing guitar early, drawing on the traditional sounds around him. His debut album was 'Amanhecer No Meu Rancho', and the title track became a staple, a ballad about missing home while living in the city.

He worked with a band called Os Gaudérios, and put out other albums like 'Alma Sertaneja' and 'O Amor de um Gaúcho'. His style was straightforward and unadorned, which some critics initially brushed off, but it connected with listeners who heard something genuine in it.
