Sta na travniku ležala,
ki v maju je cvetel.
"Ljubim te," je šepetala,
ko si jo je nežno vzel.
In okrog so èrièki peli
soncu, ki je grelo svet,
kot da bi bili veseli,
ker nov zemljan je bil spoèet.
Ko otroka sta dobila,
sta ljubila se še bolj.
Sta vzgajala ga in uèila,
da že malo je dovolj.
Veèkrat so pohajkovali,
šli so tja do travnika.
Ko so ga obèudovali,
pa sinku vedno rekla sta:
Glej ta naš svet,
tako je lep, kot lepe sanje.

naj ti te radosti ne vzamejo,
ker sreèni so le,
ki sreèo res dojamejo.
Leta mirno so jim tekla
in otrok je fant postal.
"Pazi nase," sta mu rekla,
ko se je v svet podal.
"Lažnemu blišèu ne nasedaj,
ti se spomni travnika.
Pravih se vrednot zavedaj,
pa sreèa te bo spremljala."

na bližnjem travniku posedam
in govorim: "Kako lep dan."
