Adiciona formed in Porto Alegre, Brazil, in 2013, with Marianna Britto on vocals, Pedro Schwantz on guitar, Fabio Dal'Osto on bass, and Leonardo de Borba on drums. They started playing local bars and clubs, building a following with their energetic live shows. Their debut album 'Mosaico' came out in 2015, mixing pop, rock, and Brazilian folk influences.
Their song 'Amanhecer' became a hit, though its optimistic lyrics sparked some debate at the time. Other tracks like 'Caminhando sem Destino' and 'Depois de Perceber' also found an audience. The band kept a straightforward, melodic approach that worked well on radio and in smaller venues.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
