Adilson Gigante came from Itapetinga, Bahia, and his music grew out of the gospel traditions of that region. In the 1990s, his song 'Cidadão do Céu' connected with listeners and became something of a national gospel anthem in Brazil.
That song, along with others like 'Jovem Galileu' and 'Doce Como o Mel', defined his sound. He released several albums, including 'Cidadão do Céu' in 1995 and 'Tempo de Viver' in 1998.
He kept recording into the 2000s with live albums and later studio work like 'Fonte de Vida' in 2007.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
