Adir Alves is a Brazilian gospel singer who leads a band under his own name. He came from Manhuaçu and started releasing music in the early 2000s, with his debut album 'Sangue de Jesus' appearing in 2003. Later albums included 'O Poder da Oração' in 2006 and 'Deus É Fiel' in 2009.
His song 'Cadê Cadê Meu Deus' became one of his most recognized tracks, a raw plea that captures some of the tension in his approach to faith. Another well-known song is 'Sou Israel.'
In 2015, he faced plagiarism accusations related to 'O Poder da Oração,' which he denied.
