Admonish formed in Stockholm in 1994 with Rikard Westerberg on vocals and guitar, Mattias Lind on bass, and Albin Karlsson on drums. They put out their first album, 'Dark Enlightenment,' in 1997, followed by 'Oath of the Abyss' in 1998 and 'Manifesto' in 2000. The band's lyrics sometimes drew accusations of Satanism, which they denied, saying they were more about exploring human suffering.
Later albums included 'Den Yttersta Tiden' in 2003, 'Arcana' in 2016, and 'Storm' in 2019. Songs like 'Journey into Afterlife' and 'The Day Of Deliverance' show their style. They've kept the same three members since the start.
