Adore formed in Goiânia, Brazil in 2009 around singer-songwriter Rafael Barreto and multi-instrumentalist Fernando Almeida. Their debut album 'Dentro do Infinito' came out in 2013, followed by 'Acústico' in 2017 and 'Céu Aberto' in 2020. The latter included collaborations with Brazilian artists Chitãozinho & Xororó and Luan Santana.
Their songs like 'Células,' 'Child's Play,' and 'Diga Ao Mundo' feature Barreto's direct vocal delivery over Almeida's layered guitar work. The music tends toward acoustic arrangements with atmospheric harmonies, avoiding the polished production common in much contemporary Brazilian pop.
In 2015, the band faced a legal dispute over music rights that threatened their ability to continue recording. They worked through it with support from their audience and kept making music, releasing 'Céu Aberto' five years later.
