Adrian Lyles came up in Milwaukee, where he grew up listening to R&B and hip-hop. He put out his first single 'Right Place' in 2013, and it caught on quickly with listeners.
That song became his breakout, but not everything went smoothly. A couple years later, in 2015, he had to deal with some plagiarism accusations around that same track. He handled it quietly and kept working.
He went on to put out albums like 'Love Unconditional' and 'Higher,' and he's recorded with other singers including Kelly Rowland and Macy Gray. He usually plays with a regular band of musicians.
