Adry Zinghaby formed in the early 2000s with Adrien Zinghaby on vocals, Marcus Jones on guitar, Joshua Taylor on bass, and Evan Williams on drums. Their sound pulled from reggae, afrobeat, and hip-hop, and they put out their first album in 2003.
In 2004 they released 'I Am Champion,' a single that connected with listeners and climbed charts. The song's straightforward message about resilience made it something people played when they needed a boost. Other tracks like '80 Millionen' and 'Aren't My Tears Enough' followed on later albums.
There was some noise around 'I Am Champion' involving plagiarism claims, but the band kept working. They released albums like 'Rise' in 2007 and 'Legacy' in 2010, then 'The Journey' in 2014 and 'Triumph' in 2017.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
