Aegaeon is a progressive metal band that formed after the breakup of a local metal group in Hadestown. Vocalist Celeste and guitarist Orion started the band to explore more experimental and introspective material than their previous project allowed. They built an audience through live shows while developing songs like 'Impermanence' and 'A Product Of Variety'.
Their 2023 album 'Impermanence' became their most recognized work, with the title track gaining particular attention. The album's themes and sound represented a more focused version of what they'd been working toward since their earlier EP 'Abyss'.
Aegaeon's music tends toward the atmospheric and philosophical side of progressive metal, with songs like 'Dimensions Of Reality' and 'Exponential Transcendence' continuing in that vein. They've maintained a consistent approach even as their audience has grown beyond their original local following.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
