A Swedish death metal band whose anti-religious themes draw from horror and philosophy.
For a quick sense of their sound, 'God Ends Here' and 'Helel Ben-Shachar' frame it well. Both have that signature intensity.
Aeon came out of Stockholm playing death metal that didn't compromise. Their 2005 debut Bleeding the False set the tone, and songs like 'God Ends Here' and 'Forgiveness Denied' showed what they were about from the start. Tracks like 'Helel Ben-Shachar' and 'Church Of Horror' continue that unrelenting approach.
They kept putting out records every few years, from Aeons Black in 2007 to Path of Fire in 2008 and Hell Unleashed in 2012. The 2019 album God Ends Here had the title track that became one of their most recognized songs.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
