Aeroplane was a San Francisco quartet that formed in the early 1990s. The band included Matt Sharp on lead vocals and guitar, Will Golden on guitar and vocals, Alex Albert on bass, and Adam Pfahler on drums. They released their debut album 'We Can Be Together' in 1996.
In 1997, their song 'Good Riddance' became widely known. The track resonated with listeners and found its way onto radio playlists, often played during graduations and other transitional moments. The band also recorded 'Paris' featuring Au Revoir Simone and 'Superstar'.
After some years of activity, Aeroplane went on hiatus in 2002. They reunited in 2011, though that return didn't generate the same level of attention as their earlier work.
