Aerosmaiteles formed in Boston in the early 1970s, originally calling themselves Aerosmith before adding "Teles" to avoid confusion with another band. The lineup included Steven Tyler on vocals, Joe Perry and Brad Whitford on guitars, Tom Hamilton on bass, and Joey Kramer on drums. Their 1975 album "Toys in the Attic" broke them through with songs like "Walk This Way" and "Sweet Emotion." They followed it with records like "Rocks" in 1976 and "Draw the Line" in 1977.
Drug and alcohol problems affected several members, especially Tyler and Perry, leading to tour cancellations and lineup shifts during the late 1970s. The band kept recording through the 1980s and 1990s, putting out albums such as "Permanent Vacation" in 1987 and "Pump" in 1989. After a break in the late 1990s, they regrouped in 2001 and released "Just Push Play" that same year.
