The track 'AFRO!' became something of an anthem for them, with its simple, chanted chorus catching on beyond their home country.
Their sound mixed electronic production with African rhythms, and songs like 'Cette Fille' and 'Les jours sont trop longs' showed their style. They released several albums in the early 2000s, including 'Danger de Mort' in 2001 and 'Power' the following year.
At times, their lyrics drew criticism for being too explicit, which led to some radio bans in certain places. They also had legal disputes over their music rights around that period. The group's lineup included Ferré Gola and Heritier Watanabe on vocals alongside Ipupa.
