Afrojack is the stage name of Dutch DJ and producer Nick van de Wall, who grew up in Spijkenisse. He started making music as a teenager, influenced by hip-hop, electro, and house. His early work caught the attention of the Dutch label Wall Recordings, which put out his debut single "Drop Down (Do My Dance)" in 2007.
His 2010 track "Take Over Control" with Eva Simons became a breakthrough hit, reaching the top of charts in several countries. He's since worked with artists like David Guetta, appearing on the song "Hero," and released other singles including "Ten Feet Tall" with Wrabel and "Lose You" with James Arthur.
He later apologized, saying he hadn't been fully aware of the event's political context. He continues to release music, with tracks like "Lost" featuring Oliver Rosa and Vassy appearing in his catalog.
