After Feedback formed in Chicago in 2005 around guitarist Chris Haaf, bassist Michael Christ, and drummer Andrew Rohrer. They started playing a raw, aggressive style of hard rock that drew from bands like Black Sabbath and The Stooges, though early on they had trouble finding gigs and keeping things financially stable.
Things shifted in 2008 when they put out their debut single "A Bullet For A Dollar." The track's heavy guitar work and direct lyrics connected with listeners, giving the band some visibility. That song, along with others like "Equilibrium" and "I Can't Breath," became part of their set as they started playing more shows.
They went on to release albums like "Blood and Bone" and "Electric Jesus," which showed them experimenting a bit while keeping their core sound. The trio of Haaf, Christ, and Rohrer stayed together through those recordings, working out their loud, riff-driven approach without much outside polish.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
