Ageu e Sara

Ageu Soares and Sara Braz met in 2006, drawn together by a shared interest in making music. They started writing songs and performing, working through the usual early struggles of getting heard. In 2011, they traveled to the Holy Land, a trip that directly inspired their song 'Vamos Semear.' That track became their most recognized work, a simple, earnest call to plant seeds of kindness even when things are hard.

Their debut album, also titled 'Vamos Semear,' came out in 2012. They followed it with other records like 'Ventos de Esperança' in 2014 and 'Luz na Escuridão' in 2018. Their music often leans toward themes of hope and perseverance, which has connected with a particular audience in Brazil. Another song of theirs, 'Adeus, Irmãos,' reflects a similar straightforward, heartfelt style.

Over time, some of their public statements on social and religious matters have drawn criticism. But for their listeners, the core appeal has usually been the direct, unadorned sentiment in songs like 'Vamos Semear.'
