Their 2003 single 'Candy' became a breakout hit in Brazil, though its music video and stage shows drew criticism from conservative groups.
They released several albums between 2004 and 2008, including 'Aggro Santos' and 'Nação Funk'. Other tracks like 'Like u Like' and 'Rhythm N Flow' followed a similar pattern of upbeat production and risqué themes. The band's lineup included Allan Lisboa on guitar, Vinicius de Souza on bass, and Leonardo Guimarães on drums alongside the founding duo.
As the funk scene changed, Aggro Santos' popularity faded. They disbanded in 2013 after more than a decade of making music that was both popular and polarizing in Brazil.
