Agosto formed in Curitiba, Brazil in 2004 with Guilherme Arantes on vocals, Rodrigo Tavares on guitar, Rafael Martins on bass, and Felipe Pacheco on drums. They started playing local bars and festivals around the city.
Their 2008 debut album 'As Quatro Estações' included the song 'Carta,' which became popular in Brazil. Other songs from their catalog include 'Castigo,' 'Colaborador Varonil,' 'Cúmplices da Demência,' and 'Diário.'
In 2012, some listeners criticized their song 'Divisão de Bens' for how it handled relationship themes. The band maintained it was simply exploring emotional territory.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
