José Parrilla, known as "El Niño de Pura," sings lead and handles percussion. The group includes guitarist José Manuel Gamboa "El Chispa," bassist Antonio Carrión "El Morito," percussionist Antonio Moreno "El Pescaílla," and backing vocalist Antonio Fernández "El Torta." Their sound has drawn criticism from some flamenco traditionalists, but it also found an audience that liked the blend.
Other tracks like "Sapucay" and "Cartón Lleno" show the same energy, with driving rhythms and Parrilla's intense delivery. They recorded a live album in 2007 called "En Vivo."
