Ahola formed in 2009 in Rauma, Finland, when guitarist Jasse Salovaara and bassist Miika Siira started playing together. They were a Finnish quartet that drew from classic rock like Led Zeppelin and AC/DC. Their debut album 'Rock'n'Roll Heavy Metal' came out in 2010.
In 2012 they released 'As Long As I Live (Rock'n'Roll Is Not Dead),' which became their most recognizable song. It connected with rock listeners in Finland and gained some attention internationally. Their other songs included 'Does It Matter What I Wear' and 'Hurricane.'
They built a reputation through live shows at festivals and clubs, playing with a straightforward rock energy. The band kept working in that vein without much fuss about trends.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
