Aidha

Aidha formed in Bogotá, Colombia, where they played local bars and festivals before releasing their debut album in 1995. That record was called 'Instinto Reacción!', and its title track became a hit. The band's music mixed rock and pop with Andean rhythms, and their lyrics often touched on sexuality and social issues, which drew criticism from some conservative listeners.

Andrea Echeverri sang and played guitar, with David Kaplowitz on bass, Mauricio Mejía on drums, and Miguel de Narváez on guitar. They followed up with albums like 'Ayomá' in 1997 and 'SÚper Bajito' in 2002. Sometimes they worked with traditional Andean musicians in their recordings and performances.

In 2013, Echeverri faced plagiarism accusations over lyrics, which she denied. The band's lineup changed over time, but those four remained at the core.
